Rural Skill Development & Self-Sustainability
Ekal Gramothan Foundation is a key vertical of the Ekal Abhiyan movement, dedicated to rural skill development and sustainable livelihoods. It equips rural youth and women with vocational skills such as computer literacy and training, tailoring, organic farming, carpentry, plumbing , mobile phone repairing ,cycle repairs and more. These programmes enable employment, entrepreneurship, and improved livelihoods within villages, significantly reducing rural-to-urban migration. Gramothan also works on healthcare access in tribal communities, running medical camps, health education sessions, and telemedicine initiatives across remote areas.
Artek Surfin Chemicals Ltd. and Beniprasad Goenka foundation have contributed towards the setup of a Skill Development Centre in March 2023 in Rampura , Bharuch district , Gujarat. This centre serves a population of approximately 100,000 encompassing 30 nearby villages of the district.
