Social Service & Community Welfare — COVID-19 Relief
Rashtriya Sewa Bharati is a national-level voluntary social service organisation that coordinates grassroots welfare activities across India, particularly in rural and tribal areas. Associated with the broader Sangh Parivar of social organisations, Rashtriya Sewa Bharati runs thousands of service projects through its network of selfless workers, covering education, health, environment, livelihood, and disaster relief. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisation played a critical frontline role in distributing food, medicine, PPE, and relief material to affected communities across Maharashtra and beyond.
In April 2021, as the second wave of COVID-19 severely impacted Mumbai, Artek Surfin Chemicals Ltd, and the Beniprasad Goenka Foundation made a direct contribution to Rashtriya Sewa Bharati’s relief operations. The contribution supported the distribution of food and medical supplies to families in acute need — including communities in dense urban settlements with limited access to formal relief channels.
