Building School Infrastructure — Kitchen & Dining Hall
Vivek Vikas Mission is a Mumbai-based charitable organisation focused on strengthening school infrastructure and providing supportive facilities that encourage children to attend and stay in school. Its key initiative involves the construction of school kitchen and dining hall facilities, which are critical for the success of mid-day meal programmes and ensure that children particularly from lower-income families — receive regular nutritious meals alongside their education By improving school infrastructure, the Mission directly contributes to improved attendance and lower dropout rates.
In March 2024, Artek Surfin Chemicals Ltd. and the Beniprasad Goenka Foundation made a contribution toward the construction of a school kitchen and dining hall in Mumbai — an investment in the conditions that make sustained learning possible.
